The 2023 conference theme is “Alaskan Social Workers: Strengthening Roots through Connection.” The conference will provide informational and inspirational keynote speakers to social workers about connecting with their micro (self/individual clients), mezzo (agencies/colleagues), and macro (community/social justice/research and development) systems, which will collectively strengthen the roots of social work. The four-day conference will provide training, advocacy, and networking and focus on human connection, grassroots work, and resilience-building with real-life takeaways that attendees can start to use right away.
