The eighth annual Alaska Interior Medical Education Summit will offer community members a way to explore an ever-expanding array of health careers and educational opportunities.
The summit will feature demonstrations, panel discussions, and hands-on activities. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 19, in the Murie Building at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
More than forty healthcare professionals, organizations, and vendors from across the United States are expected to participate.
Attendees will be able to explore a full range of heathcare careers. Doctors, nurses, phlebotomists, veterinarians, dental technicians, UAF biomedical researchers, and other medical professionals will answer questions and conduct activities. There will also be information and resources about a variety of educational opportunities and funding options.
The event is free to the public. Preregistration is required.
