Celebrating Leadership in Alaska

The Alaska Humanities Forum invites you to connect with leaders from across our community to recognize and celebrate the vital role of leadership in Alaska. For twenty-three years, Leadership Anchorage (LA) has supported leaders from a wide range of sectors, backgrounds, and experiences in developing the tools to transform their leadership skills, amplify and diversify their networks, and activate ideas into action.
Join LA program alumni and hundreds of professionals across Alaska who have served as mentors, speakers, and community partners in the program to celebrate and recognize the importance of leadership across our state at this annual event.
Mayor Ethan Berkowitz will offer opening remarks; we will honor Jason Metrokin (LA2), president and CEO of Bristol Bay Native Corporation, with the Leadership Anchorage Alumni Award; and we will celebrate LA23’s graduation from Leadership Anchorage.
This year there will be several ways for people to listen in, including on Coastal TV and streaming. There are three ways to watch from home:
- Thursday, 8/27 at 7 p.m. on FOX Alaska
- Sunday, 8/30 at 10 p.m. on ABC Alaska
- Monday, 8/31 at 6 p.m.on YouTube, Alaska Humanities Forum Channel.
