The Uniform Law Commission provides states with non-partisan, well-conceived and well-drafted legislation that brings clarity and stability to critical areas of state statutory law.
Each year commissioners gather to review and debate draft acts. Proposed legislation is read line-by-line and discussed on the floor during the general sessions that meet daily. While commissioners are duty-bound to attend annual meetings, it is common that spouses and families also attend. Although much work is accomplished during annual meetings, it is also a time to renew friendships and enjoy the surrounding venues.
