All together Alaska Native regional corporations reported more than $10.5 billion in revenue last year—revenue that creates opportunities; protects their lands, culture, and resources; and provides investment opportunities for the entire state and, more importantly, their shareholders.
MTA Fiber Holdings, a subsidiary of MTA, is building Alaska’s “first and only” all-terrestrial fiber network connecting Alaska to the Lower 48.
By most accounts Alaska’s economy is finally set to emerge from several years of recession. The state’s residents can expect more employment opportunities with about 1,400 new jobs coming online in industries that have been stripping costs and reducing headcounts over the past four years.
