While most recently leading Afognak’s diverse range of commercial operations, building a commercial division from zero revenue to more than $112 million annually, Thorpe has an extensive track record of leadership and strategic growth. He founded Delta Leasing, a vehicle and equipment leasing company now majority owned by Old Harbor Native Corporation. He also served as general manager for Anchorage Chrysler Center, where he achieved top rankings in profitability and customer satisfaction.

Representing more than 3,000 shareholders, SNC is the largest of sixteen village corporations in the Bering Straits region, with more than $146 million in annual revenues.
