This spring, Alaskan Brewing will team up with local nonprofits to host its annual community cleanups in Alaska as part of its Coastal CODE (Clean Oceans Depend on Everyone) initiative.
GCI announced the recipients of its 2019 philanthropy campaign – 12 nonprofit organizations that work to improve the lives of Alaskans across the state. Each of the 12 nonprofits will be highlighted by GCI during a monthly “spotlight” campaign that includes promotional signs and digital displays at GCI’s 30+ retail stores, features on GCI social media channels and promotion on iHeart radio stations.
“If nonprofits were treated as their own industry, they would be the second largest source of non-government employment behind oil and gas in Alaska,” according to a January 2018 report.
ANCHORAGE—Alaska USA Foundation contributed $45,000 to support a variety of nonprofits that provide vital services to Alaska’s youth.
The newest addition to Rasmuson Foundation’s team brings experience in philanthropy, government and nonprofit work, much of it focused on homelessness and child welfare.
